The 15th annual Bay Area Microbial Pathogenesis Symposium (BAMPS XV) will take place on Saturday March 24, 2012 at Genentech Hall on the Mission Bay Campus of UCSF from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Our keynote speaker this year will be Scott Hultgren from Washington University (St. Louis).
As always, the conference is free. Breakfast, lunch, and a wine and hors d' oeuvres reception will be provided free of charge. This symposium will feature a series of 15 to 30-minute talks by students, postdocs, and PI's and a poster session at lunchtime by Bay Area researchers in microbial pathogenesis. If you wish to be considered for a short talk, please upload a one-paragraph abstract and provide a tentative title in the appropriate box (the title can be changed later if necessary). The deadline for submitting an abstract is March 7, 2012. If your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, we will automatically schedule you for a poster presentation.
If you wish to present a poster only, please enter the tentative title in the appropriate box in the registration form. The deadline for submission of a poster title is March 7, 2012. We will try to accommodate all posters. If necessary, the title of your poster can be changed.
We highly encourage students and postdocs to submit abstracts to be considered for a speaker slot. This is a great opportunity to present your work to a knowledgeable but friendly audience. We also highly encourage you to present a poster.
